• The ideal candidate will have comprehensive background in accounting and knowledge of full cycle operations; particularly in accounts payable.
• Must have experience working with accounting systems. ACCPAC experience is preferred, and knowledge of sales tax laws is required.

POSITION PROFILE:

1. Primarily in charge of all accounts payable for 2 hotels at a minimum.
2. Responsible for invoice data entry and payment batch preparation for accounts payable.
3. Individual will be required to maintain accurate and organized file maintenance of accounts payable, W-9 and insurance documentation.
4. This position will also assist with counting and balancing daily cash drops for 2 hotels and end of month closing procedures.
5. The ideal candidate will work approximately 20--25 hours per week.


REQUIREMENTS:

• Responsible for all cash transactions as it relates to: 1) ensuring daily deposit of cash/credit card receipts, 2) collecting and counting all cash drops, 3) preparing/making daily bank deposits, 4) copying all checks, 5) verifying daily deposits received.
• Answer all telephone calls within three rings in a friendly and efficient manner that promotes a positive image.
• Performing customer services as it relates to: 1) filing and preparing documents, statements and letters,
2) processing guest requests for folios, billing corrections, etc., 3) travel agent commission check requests and processing, 4) daily log updates for no-show charges, 5) process direct billing for billing, payment and adjustments.
• Perform all departmental filing to include: 1) maintenance of personnel files, 2) emergency payment checks, 3) processing of credit applications, 4) processing account payable invoices and weekly check runs, and
5) basic filing of accounts payable/receivables.
• Perform weekly duties to include: 1) coding of invoices, 2) processing payment checks, and 3) update departmental checkbooks and distribute to managers.

Qualifications:

• Experience with manufacturing and prototyping

Required Experience:

• Deep understanding of object oriented programming principles and design patterns
• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of Python and experience working with the relevant tools.
• Well versed in working in Python for web projects and tweaking server configuration to get the very best out of these apps.
• Experience with Django, Zope, Pyramid, Pylons, or other Python web frameworks
• Knowledge of at least one other server-side language, such as Java, C#, or Ruby.
• Writing clean abstracted code and thoroughly testing it should all be second nature.
• Bonus: Experience in one or more of the following areas is a big plus: data mining, and/or machine learning
• Bonus: Any experience with other areas of web development such as JavaScript, AJAZ/WebSockets/other server-browser communication,
HTML/CSS or API integration never hurts.
• Bonus: Experience with Hadoop and Mongo DB
